Anodising

In simple terms, anodising is a process widely used on aluminium components to create a thicker artificial aluminium oxide surface. Once the component has been anodised, the surface benefits from increased durability against damage through corrosion or abrasion and subsequently allows for the creation of a wide variety of decorative colours and finishes. The anodised component also provides a better surface for adhesion of paint, primers and glues. Finally, the component is sealed.

This process is the only coating method that allows aluminium to retain its metallic finish.
